It is an honor to be the principal of Carrillo Ranch Elementary in the Desert Sands School District. This is my third year living in California and I have loved every minute of it! Prior to this, I have grown up and lived in Kansas my whole life. My parents retired to Coachella Valley twenty years ago and I have been visiting annually since. When this job opportunity came up to be the principal of Carrillo Ranch, I jumped on the chance. This school is a wonderful match for me as I come from a family of musicians and I am a lover of visual arts. The staff and families at Carrillo Ranch are also appreciators of Visual and Performing Arts. We integrate the arts in our learning every day!
Personally, I have a daughter, Ainslie, who is 24 years old, and just moved to Chicago after earning her business degree at the University of Kansas. She always loves visiting our school!
As far as my professional experience…I have taught 2nd and 4th grades. I have been an administrator for elementary schools for the past twenty three years.
