ASES Lottery Process

  (STUDENTS THAT DO NOT COMPLETE ALL ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS BY MAY 24, 2024 AT 3:00 PM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAM AND PLACE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WAITLIST.)

What happens Next?

* Students will be selected via lottery before May 10th.

* On May 10, 2024, between 3:00 and 4:00 pm parents will receive an email letting them know if their students were selected for ASES or placed on the waitlist.  Parents of selected students will receive the Desert Sands' forms they must complete by May 24, 2024, at 3:00 pm. 

* The email will also contain the Desert Recreation District waiver link that can be completed and emailed back.  The Desert Recreation District waiver will also be sent home with students in hard copy on May 13th.  The waiver must be returned to the office or emailed no later than May 24th at 3:00 pm. 

*  STUDENTS THAT DO NOT COMPLETE ALL ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS BY MAY 24, 2024 AT 3:00 PM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAM AND PLACE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WAITLIST.

* Students from the waitlist will be called the week of May 27th to replace students who did not complete the enrollment paperwork.

LOS ESTUDIANTES QUE NO COMPLETEN TODOS LOS DOCUMENTOS DE INSCRIPCIÓN ANTES DEL 24 DE MAYO DE 2024 A LAS 3:00 PM SERÁN ELIMINADOS DEL PROGRAMA Y COLOCADOS AL FINAL DE LA LISTA DE ESPERA.

¿Qué pasa después?
* Los estudiantes serán seleccionados mediante lotería antes del 10 de mayo.

* * El 10 de mayo de 2024, entre las 3:00 y las 4:00 p. m., los padres recibirán un correo electrónico informándoles si sus estudiantes fueron seleccionados para ASES o colocados en la lista de espera. Los padres de los estudiantes seleccionados recibirán los formularios de Desert Sands que deben completar antes del 24 de mayo de 2024 a las 3:00 p.m.

* El correo electrónico también contendrá el enlace de exención del Distrito de Recreación del Desierto que se puede imprimir y enviar por correo electrónico. La exención del Distrito de Recreación del Desierto también se enviará a casa con los estudiantes en copia impresa el 13 de mayo. La exención debe devolverse a la oficina o enviarse por correo electrónico a más tardar el 24 de mayo a las 3:00 p. m.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  How are students selected for ASES?

We select students for the ASES program via a lottery.  Once all the spot for a grade level are full a waitlist will be created.  Students in the waiting list are arranged based on the timestamp on their interest form.

2.  Does submitting interest form give my student a spot in ASES?

No, the form is just letting us know you would like your student in the ASES program.

3.  If I have multiple children at your school will they all be accepted to the ASES program?

Yes, sibling applications are group together for our lottery drawing.

4. Are TK/KN students accepted into ASES

  TK/KN students are accepted if older siblings are also admitted to the program.

4.  When will I know if my student was accepted into the ASES program?

Parents were sent an acceptance email on May 10, 2024 with the steps to follow.

5.  Can my student stay for ASES the 1st day of school?

Students that have been accepted into the program and have turned in their completed registration packet can stay for ASES the first day of school.

Sí, las solicitudes de hermanos se agrupan para nuestro sorteo de lotería.

4. ¿Se aceptan estudiantes de TK/KN en ASES?

  Se aceptan estudiantes de TK/KN si sus hermanos mayores también son admitidos

 en el programa.

5. ¿Cuándo sabré si mi estudiante fue aceptado en el programa ASES?

Se envió corre electronico de acceptacion el 10 de Mayo del 2024 con las instrucciones a seguir.

6. ¿Puede mi estudiante permanecer en ASES el 1er día de clases?

Los estudiantes que hayan sido aceptados en el programa y hayan entregado su paquete de registro completo pueden quedarse en ASES el primer día de clases.
